Description and objective:

Occhnet is the sole provider of this IOSH approved course for Local Exhaust Ventilation Testing.

This course aims to give the delegate the basic skills to enable them to demonstrate thorough testing and examination of local exhaust ventilation systems as required by COSHH.

The course will provide both theory and some practical elements with full course notes supplied.

Description and objective:

Products containing isocyanates have long been subject to restriction under REACH regulation (EU & UK) due to their potential to impact on human health especially for those with breathing problems such as asthma.

More recently, having restricted sale to Professional and Industrial users, the regulators mandated that from February 2022 packaging of isocyanate containing products should carry a warning “As from 24 August 2023 adequate training is required before industrial or professional use”.

Live on-line Asbestos Awareness Short Course

Description and objective:

Asbestos awareness training is required for employees whose work could foreseeably expose them to asbestos.

In particular, it should be given to all demolition workers and those workers in the refurbishment, maintenance and allied trades where it is foreseeable that their work will disturb the fabric of the building.

The course will provide an awareness and development of knowledge to employees of the hazards and risks posed by asbestos-containing materials (ACM’s) within their everyday working environment and an overview of the legislative measures in place to safeguard themselves and others affected by work activities.

Environmental Awareness Training

Description and objective:

This Environmental Awareness training will give the participants an appreciation of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and Environmental Legislation requirements of industry today.

Respiratory Sensitisers

Description and objective:

Occupational Asthma can be a serious problem. More than 200 substances have been reported as triggers for occupational asthma.

In the western world, it is thought than 200,000 people suffer from occupational asthma, and a further 500,000 have asthma that may be made worse by their job.

Occupational asthma is a common cause of work-related illness.

This half-day seminar discusses respiratory sensitisers in the workplace.
